Club evening continues on Tuesdays from 7-9pm. To cover ball costs and floodlights there is a £2 charge per person

Club night is a social evening for members to play some tennis & meet other members. It’s club standard open play- if you’re new and not sure if you’re quite up to club play yet, perhaps get some guidance from Sam during the new members free coaching session on Wednesday evenings.

Happy hour continues from 9-10 pm, draft beers will be £1.50 a pint and bottles on wine only a fiver-  what better way to reward yourself after an evenings tennis!

A warm welcome to Andrew Richardson who joins BLTC as Head Coach this week

During his professional career Andrew has played at the highest level around the world: competing all four Grand Slams and reaching the third round of The Wimbledon Championships in 1997.

Since retiring from the pro circuit, he has gone on to coach players of all standards: performance level, Davis Cup and world top 100.

With such impressive credentials Andrew has the capability to develop and expand our player base from where we are today across all age groups. Great news!

The draw sheets for Wimbledon are up in the clubhouse. In order to enter into the draw you must be a fully paid club member (9 years & over) for the current season and have a British Tennis Membership number.

The draw will take place on Sunday 25th April at 5pm.

Work to re-surface courts 5,6 and 7 is scheduled to begin at the end of March , weather dependant!  Provided the weather is kind, work should be completed in approximately two weeks.  The courts will be Summer Green with Olive Green to the run off areas. 

Amongst a raft of prizes in this weekends Charity Quiz night raffle are two pairs of semi-final tickets to the Barclays ATP tour event at London’s O2 arena.

Don’t miss out buy some tickets today, either from the Bar or the Office, all the raffle proceeds go to our chosen charity The LATCH Project…

Work is now well underway on courts 5-7 and all being well they should be ready to use by week commencing 16th November.  As soon as we have a definite date for completion, we will let you know.

Our famous ‘Charity Fun Quiz’ returns on Saturday 21st November and this time we will be raising money for the LATCH project, which houses homeless young adults aged 16 to 25 in the Bromley area.
 
Teams for this event can be anything up to 8 players and costs £5 per player.
 
To enter a team, put your name on the list in the clubhouse vestibule, or email Martin at martinrands@hotmail.co.uk. Places for this event are limited so please get your entry in as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
 
All proceeds from the evening are donated to the charity.

 
The last American tournament of 2009 will take place on Sunday 25th October from 12.30pm.
 
This is a fun doubles based tournament where partners change after every round. If you haven’t played before why not give it a go? It is a great opportunity to meet and play with fellow members.
 
Cost of entry is just £2 (to cover the cost of balls and a few prizes).

The indoor courts have now been repainted for the new season and will be ready to play on again this weekend.  We have gone for new colours as seen at the ATP World Tour!
