METAFIT with Mick is a high intensity interval training (HIIT) session. It comprises a range of exercises that utilise your own body weight.
The core HIIT session varies between 18 and 25 minutes only, so with a warm up and cool down Mick Jones (aka METAFIT with Mick), our instructor, will make sure you’re all done in about 45mins AND it’s not choreographed – so no dancing routines to worry about!
Is it for me?
Definitely: METAFIT is suitable for all levels of fitness – the focus is to get the movements right, then work as hard as you are able.
So, it’s about quality not quantity…. You are only competing against yourself, nobody else – simples!
Yes it is .. You’ll work the whole body and major muscle groups in short bursts to build your body’s endurance, power and efficiency.
The METAFIT workout increases your resting metabolic rate so your body continues to get the benefits for up to 24 hours after the class has finished.
What do I need to bring?
Yourself and a water bottle (small towel optional for the sweaty ones), mats will be provided.
When and where?
Sessions at BLTSC are at 7.30- 8.15pm on Wednesdays and take place on Squash court 1
